Night Of The Prog Festival ~ Day Two

Loreley Amphitheatre, St. Goarshausen, Germany
19th to 21st July 2019

Morning Proggers! Here’s the view from breakfast on the terrace ?

Will try to keep count today, here’s the first…

Suisse band F.O.R.S. (Famous Or Random Stars) kick off today.

Rather nice gentle, slightly bombastic instrumental prog, with lush keys. Very nice!

Overhead from Finland. A lot of fun – reminds me a bit of Spock’s Beard.

Second beer – taking it easy today…
F.O.R.S. drummer Felix Waldispühl…

Ah Tim Bowness, what a voice! Playing his solo work and No-Man tracks.

And hey, there’s John Jowett on bass again, what a guy!
4, 5 & 6 sneakily

Ok, here’s Karcius!

Seven (getting old…)
8! Karcius – superb musicianship. Can’t help thinking they’re missing a “sound” though. Huge potential though for a group of young guys!!

Loreley filling up in anticipation of Nick Mason – lots of Pink Floyd Shirts to be seen…

Karcius are a bit of a “find”, now they’re playing reggae-prog. Nice!
Some, erm technical issues yesterday evening. To summarise, Lazuli were their usual exuberant selves, motivating the crowd to dance and sing. Good stuff!
Nick Mason’s set was a tour through pre-DSotM Pink Floyd. Heavily psychedelic, including “Vegetable Man” – a track the PF never recorded.
Photos to follow.
