24/10/2022: Tiger Moth Tales to release A Visit To Oxfordshire live album
Tiger Moth Tales live album A Visit To Oxfordshire is scheduled for 7 November 2022 via White Knight Records.
Tiger Moth Tales latest offering is a live album that was recorded at the Prog For Peart festival in Abingdon, Oxfordshire on 2nd July 2022. With a running time of 75 minutes, and featuring songs from most of the Tiger Moth Tales back catalogue, this is a wonderful representation of the live TMT experience.
Pete Jones comments: “It was a lot of fun performing this set, which I think shows in the recording. I felt it was a good idea to release a live album of the band at this point, because the chaps have been doing a splendid job with the newer material, and I think we’re sounding pretty epic at the moment! I’m sure everyone is going to love it.”

23/10/2022: Galahad release first music from The Last Great Adventurer
Today sees the release of The Last Great Adventurer, Galahad’s eleventh studio album and to mark the occasion the band have released a ‘single edit’ of the opening track Alive
The band comment: “This latest opus, the band’s eleventh studio album, has been several years in the making and most of the songs on the album actually pre-date the previous ‘Seas of Change’ album from 2018! Plus, due the constraints of the recent Covid emergency, the album was recorded at several locations over the last couple of years by the various band members and finally pulled together, edited, mixed and mastered, as usual, by engineer/producer extraordinaire Karl Groom (Threshold/Dragonforce/Pendragon/Arena/Yes etc.).”
The CD version will be released officially today 24th October 2022 followed by the digital download/streaming version on 7th November 2022 – available from all the usual DIGITAL platforms including our official Galahad Bandcamp site. A gatefold vinyl LP version is planned in conjunction Oskar Productions in Poland, hopefully towards the end of 2022.

Colin Edwin and Pat Mastelotto’s O.R.k. – with vocalist Lorenzo Esposito Fornasari and guitarist Carmelo Pipitone – have announced a short run of European dates for April next year and in support of their Screamnasium, released today . Colin Edwin comments: “I’m super-happy that the opportunity to bring Screamnasium to life has now arrived in the shape of our first European tour since 2019. 20/10/2022: Juha Kujanpää announces the release of Old Ways, New Ways
Finnish composer, arranger and keyboard player Juha Kujanpää working in the area between jazz, rock, world and theatre has announced the release of his new instrumental album Old Ways, New Ways. The album was recorded between 2019-22, and will be released via Kuu Records on 9 November 2022.
The band, Juha Kujanpää Ensemble, was founded in 2013 and on these three albums it consisted of a combination of four-piece rock/jazz-band and three folk music fiddlers. On the new album, the line-up has changed. The core band (Juha Kujanpää keyboards, Timo Kämäräinen guitar, Tero Tuovinen bass and Jussi MieNola drums) has stayed the same, but there aren’t any fiddles to be heard this time. The sound of the album is characterised by wind and brass instruments, as well as a wordless vocal ensemble. Has the music changed – that’s leg for the listener to decide.
Kujanpää’s three previous albums To Where My Wings Will Take Me (2017), Goldwing (2015) and Tales and Travels (2013) were all favourably reviewed on TPA as well as receiving very positive international reviews.

12/10/2022: The Fierce And The Dead announce new single Photogenic Love
The Fierce And The Dead have announced the release of their new studio album, News From The Invisible World in early 2023, and next Friday (21st October 2022) sees the release of the single, Photogenic Love…
“Described as heavy psychedelic pop, Photogenic Love is the 3rd single from the upcoming 4th Fierce And The Dead album (out early 2023). This track brings to mind Faith No More, Tame Impala, Smashing Pumpkins, LCD Soundsystem, Flaming Lips, Gorillaz and MGMT and once again features vocals from TFATD bassist Kevin Feazey.”
TFATD guitarist Steve Cleaton comments “I think this track is a good example of the creative process we used on many of the newer songs. The circumstances of the last couple of years, of course, meant that we couldn’t practice together that much. Rather than let this get in the way of writing new material, we decided to employ wholly different methods, and often different instruments, than we have done in the past…”
TFATD drummer Stuart Marshall added: “The song covers a fair amount of ground in terms of sonic dynamics. Evolved during a new online writing process, that collaboratively evoked different influences from genres including, 70’s rock, 80’s pop and post rock. It’s a vocal ear-worm and a song we hope to hear people singing along to at shows”.
Photogenic Love will be available from The Fierce And The Dead Bandcamp page on 21st October 2022.

The multi-instrumental interplay between the duo is stunning and Chrissy’s vocals have a confidence and deep emotional content throughout. With a lyrical theme focusing on the many aspects of the afterlife, it is a challenging, diverse, genre-breaking and rewarding journey and gains stature and depth the more you listen to it.”

Threshold release their latest single Complex, taken from the band’s forthcoming studio album, Dividing Lines, which will be released via Nuclear Blast on 18 November 2022.
Guitarist Karl Groom comments: “Complex was the 2nd song written for Dividing Lines and I love the energy that Johanne injected into the song, particularly on the pre-choruses. The idea for the solo came about by accident when I left a parallel pitch-shift on the lead sound whilst making the demo. We can’t wait to release the album and have the chance to tour again.”
