All tracks on the album have been recorded by a 5-person line-up featuring Peter Płonka on electric & acoustic guitars, Krzysztof Breach on bass, Grzegorz Bauer on drums & percussion and Richard Kramarski on keyboards & acoustic guitars.
The album looks at the internet as a symbolic trap into which each of us can fall. The band comment: “Addiction to gambling, drugs or alcohol can and often leads to depression, loneliness and suicidal thoughts. The cure for this evil is friendship and love of another person. “The Web” is just such a story in which each of us can be the main character, fighting for love, peace and happiness! How will this story end?”

27/07/2019: Nick Magnus releases album teaser for Catharsis
Nick Magnus will release his sixth solo album Catharsis on 30th September 2019. Here is a taster of what to expect.
“Catharsis is a personal journey inspired by the landscape, history and legends of the Ariège region in the French Pyrénées. Its mountains, caves, stunning vistas and centuries of often turbulent history cry out to be translated into music. Each track marks a much loved place in the Ariège, or a time in its history, real or imagined.”
01. Red Blood on White Stone (8:47)
02. Three Tall Towers (4:56)
03. Convivium (3:22)
04. The Devil’s Bridge (4:35)
05. The Market At Mirepoix (4:22)
06. Gathering Mists (2:45)
07. A Widow In Black (5:05)
08. Mountain Mother (13:35)
Adventures in the Ariège – a progumentary
Filmed over a two-year period, the DVD progumentary delves into the background to the album, visiting the locations in the Ariège relevant to each track. We had enormous fun making the video, despite being deluged by rain in Mirepoix (we made a virtue of that!) Multiple visits to some places were often necessary, hanging around waiting for that perfect cloud formation or a well-timed beam of sunlight – a perfect opportunity to take in the incredible scenery, devour a tasty picnic of French bread and cheese and learn my lines! I wonder if it’s like that for Lucy Worsley?

12/07/2019: Opeth reveal animated video for Hjärtat Vet Vad Handen Gör
Opeth will release In Cauda Venenum on 27th September 2019 via Moderbolaget/Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The album was recorded last year at Stockholm’s Park Studios and will be will be released in two versions, in both Swedish and English languages. Today, the band has unveiled an animated video the record’s first new song, Hjärtat Vet Vad Handen Gör | Heart In Hand.
“Commenting on the new song, vocalist/guitarist/songwriter Mikael Åkerfeldt says, “”Hjärtat Vet Vad Handen Gör” or ”Heart in Hand” as it’s called in English is one of the first couple of songs I wrote for ”In Cauda Venenum.” I immediately knew that it would probably be favoured by ”the powers that be” when talks of future singles for the record would commence. And I was right. I generally leave it up to the labels or managements to pick the so-called singles. I’m indifferent as I put an equal amount of dedication into all songs, so it doesn’t matter all that much to me. I guess it’s one of the more straightforward songs on the album.”
01. Livet’s Trädgård | Garden Of Earthly Delights
02. Svekets Prins | Dignity
03. Hjärtat Vet Vad Handen Gör | Heart In Hand
04. De Närmast Sörjande | Next Of Kin

09/07/2019: IQ Reveal New Album Resistance for Release on 7th September 2019 on GEP
IQ have revealed details of the release of their new studio album Resistance on GEP set for 7th September 2019.
Michael Holmes comments: “This has been an interesting album to work on – years of talking about it and putting down all the different ideas in demo form, and then a frantic period of trying to finish it for the scheduled release date. It would have been quite easy to put out ‘The Road of Bones Part 2’ but it felt a bit different this time and we just let the music dictate to us the kind of album it should be.
Again we had so much stuff kicking around when we were putting the running order together that we decided to do a second disc with the tunes that didn’t quite gel with the atmosphere of disc one. We did this before with The Road Of Bones and it proved to be really popular. We’re now coming round to thinking that the material on disc two is so strong that we should maybe make it an official double album. I have to say its quite liberating writing for an extended release – the extra time allows you to give the music room to breath and evolve which feels more organic, at least in my head it does. As a result there’s two 20 minute tracks on the second disc.”

The Flower Kings & Kayak have announced a joint 2019 European tour in The Flower King’s forthcoming new album and Kayak’s most recent studio record Seventeen, both released on InsideOut Music.
Roine Stolt comments: “We’re happy to go on tour in Europe again in December – We will present The Flower Kings music from the early days – concert favourites – plus some brand new music – that is along the lines of the early music of the band – symphonic rock. We’re happy to bring our friends in KAYAK along for this proggy double bill – it will be a monumental meltdown of melodic prog – not to be missed.”
Kayak’s Ton Scherpenzeel adds: “We can’t wait to go on tour with the Flower Kings in December. For Kayak that will be a great way to end the year, a chance to meet new fans and it also serves as an inspiration for making the next album.”
The two bands will perform 12 dates across 6 countries.

2nd December – Musikzentrum, Hannover, Germany
