PRESS RELEASE: Following their successful appearances in the UK last year, it has been announced that Lazuli and Moon Safari, two of Europe’s most exciting and original prog bands, will join forces for double header mini-tour in November (26th-30th).
This is the first time French fivesome Lazuli have toured Britain, having completely wowed audiences at both of their appearances at the Summers End Festival in 2011 and 2013. This is due to their unique, dynamic stage show, in which they play a diverse range of instruments, including the Léode, the only one of its kind in the world.
It is due to increasing demand from their growing band of British fans that they have agreed to make their touring debut over here, their set hopefully including songs from their upcoming fifth album, which they are currently recording for release this spring.
Moon Safari is the six piece Swedish prog band, best known for their complex close vocal harmonies and exquisite melodies, many of which can be heard on their recently released fourth studio album, Himlabacken Vol. 1. This will be the UK leg of a European tour to promote their next album, Himlabacken Vol. 2. Their recent visit to the UK resulted in many concert-goers rating their live performance as being one of the best this year.
The tour in November will call at Southampton, Cardiff, Swindon, London and will finish at Bilston. Tour promoter Nellie Pitts of The Merch Desk said: “It is absolutely wonderful to have two of Europe’s most creative and original bands appearing on the same bill.
“Anyone who saw Lazuli either at Summers End shows or on one of their many European dates such as Loreley will be aware of how stunningly brilliant they both look and sound. Moon Safari also has an ever-growing following in the UK so we are thrilled they are coming back to enchant us once again with their special brand of harmonic prog.”
The tour is being supported by Prog magazine.
