Kscope release two new re-issues as part of their fifth anniversary celebrations…

Gavin Harrison & 05Ric – Kscope edition of their Debut Album ‘Drop’ Available Now on Kscope

The Pineapple Thief – Tightly Unwound 2CD edition2CD edition of 1st album ever released on Kscope – re-mastered, remixed and featuring bonus disc The last few years have seen The Pineapple Thief truly emerge onto a higher stage… bigger and better tours, triumphant festival slots, recording at Peter Gabriel’s Real World studios, artwork designed by Storm Thorgerson and new management all give the sense of an act destined for greater things. In 2012, the band took the next step on this journey with the release of All The Wars, their new studio album.

In association with the Kscope 5th anniversary celebrations, this edition of 2008′s Tightly Unwound – the first ever album release on Kscope – has been newly re-mastered and remixed by 360 in London. It will also now feature a bonus disc with tracks from the Dawn Raids EPs plus and acoustic version of ‘Shoot First’.

“Our world was very different 5 years ago. The Pineapple Thief was very much an underground affair, with a small but loyal band of followers. Kscope, a name conjured up by Steven Wilson as a play on kaleidoscope, didn’t exist as a label back then. It was only when Steven introduced us that the concept of a dedicated label was born, and we were lucky enough to be their first signing. The band was effectively reborn on that day. Now, after 5 years, the label has become a huge part of the post-progressive renaissance. As I sit here in my studio remixing this album, my mind is cast back to 2008 when we were playing a launch gig for Tightly Unwound, in front of 40 people in pub in London. How different our world is now.” – Bruce Soord

Deluxe edition of Nosound’s debut album for Kscope – available on double vinyl and as CD + DVD set, featuring high resolution stereo & 5.1 mixes, and reworked artwork

Nosound recently released Afterthoughts, their fourth studio album. The album was described by Prog magazine as ‘in a word, extraordinary’ and is proving to be the band’s most successful yet.

Nosound – Lightdark Deluxe Edition of debut album for Kscope

Now, as part of the Kscope 5th anniversary celebrations, Lightdark, their second album which was released on the label in 2008, is to be reissued as a deluxe 2 disc (CD+DVD) set and a double vinyl set.

Nosound – Lightdark Deluxe Edition of debut album Lightdark was the band’s breakthrough album. Featuring guest vocal’s from No-man’s Tim Bowness, it’s success and helped establish the band as a firm fixture within the Kscope label. Recorded in Italy, England and the US throughout 2006 and 2007, the album develops further the promise of debut album Sol29 and exhibits a stronger group identity which reveals a greater contrast between atmospheric detail and the walls of sound created by the band on stage. Highlights include the 15 minute epic ‘From Silence to Noise’, the ethereal ‘The Misplay’ (with cellist Marianne DeChastelaine), and the epic piano/mellotron driven ballad ‘Someone Starts To Fade Away’.

The album has been re-mastered for the release and the CD+ DVD set contains high resolution stereo and 5.1 surround mixes, plus video extras. The digibook packaging features reworked artwork, new previously unseen photos and new liner notes from Bowness and the album’s other guest, the cellist Marianne DeChastelaine.

The double LP edition of the album is presented on 180gram heavyweight white vinyl with a gatefold sleeve, and features bonus track ‘Clouds’ which is only available on the DVD-AV 5.1 surround mix. Orders placed through the Kscope store will also come with a signed A4 litho printon high quality matt paper.

The album will be available on Double White LP, as a CD & DVD-A Digibook Edition, and as a bundle of both editions, and is available to pre-order now from the Kscope store.

A new website is also online at http://www.lightdark.com/ featuring info and three free downloads including high resolution and surround sound versions.
