Friday line-up change at Summer’s End
The organisers of the Summer’s End Progressive Rock Festival, which takes place between 4th-6th October 2013, posted the following update on their Facebook Page:
We regret to announce that DeeExpus have had to withdraw from the Festival. Band leader Andy Ditchfield explains:
“Due to major malfunction of one of our vital pieces of equipment, namely our guitarist, we have unfortunately had no alternative but to pull out of this year’s Summers End Festival. We tried our utmost to work out a solution but unfortunately despite our intense and best efforts, we failed. We’re all gutted to miss the festival (except Mike who will still be there with Landmarq) and would like to extend our sincere apologies to those who were travelling to see us and to Huw and Stephen who have been very gracious and understanding. Fortunately for us, the Malfunction will not affect DanFest and we hope to see you there.”
However, every cloud has a silver lining and we are very pleased to announce that Sheffield-based prog-folk legends HAZE have agreed to step in at short notice. Formed in 1978, the band are now back to full activity following the release of the first new music as Haze for decades, with “The Last Battle”, on Cyclops earlier this year. The Friday line up is now Sylvan, Haze and Unto Us and the rest of the festival is unaffected. Revised timings will be posted tomorrow (24th September).
