30/11/15: Debut album release from Endless Tapes set for January
Endless Tapes is a collaboration between bassist and composer Colin Edwin (Porcupine Tree/Metallic Taste of Blood/Twinscapes/O.R.k etc) and drummer/multi instrumentalist Alessandro “Petrol” Pedretti. Following on from its 2013 eponymous EP, the duo reveal 15th January 2016 as the release date for their debut album, Brilliant Waves – available for pre-order now through Burning Shed. Ahead of the release the duo have issued the first trailer and made available a live version of companion piece Terminal 2 on Soundcloud
Colin Edwin offers this insight to the genesis of the band and the importance of the live work: “We chose the name “Endless Tapes” since to us it reflects the many possibilities of the music. Given the cyclic elements in a lot of the compositions, I prefer to think of these recordings on “Brilliant Waves” as snapshots of particular decisions we made at the time. Playing the music in a live environment before we recorded really opened up a lot of the tunes, but we could have gone in a number of directions.”

20/11/15: The Wilde Flowers to be released in January 2016
Although active between 1964 and 1969 The Wilde Flowers, featuring Robert Wyatt, Kevin Ayers, Pye Hastings, David Sinclair, Mike Ratledge, Hugh and Brain Potter, never released any material in their active period. It wasn’t until 1994 that a compilation of material, including tracks written circa 1965 along with earlier demos, emerged on the Voiceprint label. The 8th January 2016 will see the release of a double CD, from Floating World (Retroworld), featuring music from across the band’s career, but also included will be a 2003 re-recording of the Soft Machine classic, Hope For Happiness featuring Brian Hopper and Robert Wyatt.
“These recordings, mostly from the early to mid 60s… era feature a band working in a rhythm and blues / proto-Freakbeat style – in places tentative and not yet fully-formed by any means, but fascinating listening for anyone interested in the development of British Psychedelia. There are some strange musical juxtapositions – the very English voice of Kevin Ayers singing the Blues classic, Parchman Farm, for example – but it also features early originals from Ayers, Wyatt and co.”

12/11/15: Taylor’s Universe to release new ‘reworked versions’ studio compilation album
Marvel of Beauty are happy to announce the release of a new CD album by Taylor’s Universe. This compilation is NOT an album of previously released material – but a collection of reworked versions of some of Robin C Taylor’s favourite tracks from recent years – as said, reworked with the purpose of making the material sound, just as Mr. Taylor wanted it to sound in the first place. It’s always time for improvements, and this special album is meant to be THE album to start with for curious listeners, who never got the chance to explore, what Taylor’s Universe has to offer. Regular fans of the group, will – hopefully – also consider the album worth adding to their collections, as it contains quite a lot of new and fresh ideas!
Across the Universe also marks, that Mr. Taylor is now in a position, that makes him a ‘veteran’ in the field of progressive music; some 25 years ago, he became part of the recording business by releasing his debut album. The name, Taylor’s Universe, appeared for the first time on record in 1994, and the group (who has never had a life outside the recording studios) have been spitting out albums regularly ever since – to much acclaim from the media – but unfortunately without much attention from the public!
But it’s never too late, and for people, who didn’t catch the train on time, Across the Universe would be the perfect place to start their journey… PRESS RELEASE

10/11/15: Headspace announce new album for 2016
Headspace have announced they will release their second album ‘All That You Fear Is Gone’ on 26th February 2016. The band, completed by guitarist Pete Rinaldi (Hot Leg) & bassist Lee Pomeroy (It Bites, Steve Hackett), have also announced a new drummer in the shape of Adam Falkner (Babyshambes, Dido, One Eskimo).
Adam Wakeman had this to say: This album is the first to debut new Drummer Adam Falkner whom Pete Rinaldi and I have toured with a lot in the past. He’s a superb player and he really fits with the band’s sound and style. He also gets a round in, which is a plus.
Damian Wilson comments on the new album: The conforming individual represented in the first album that breaks away, is reflected in All That You Fear Is Gone. Free thinking, fighting against natural grouping, what appears as destructive rebellion is in fact evolution. Written to make the listener think, whilst capturing the ear with complexity and simplicity combined.
Embarking on the second Headspace album I personally had a clear vision, but by the time each band member had thrown in their piece, I thought we had produced an album that was unlistenable to. As it progressed, the rough edges and corners seemed to settle like a good lasagne. Everyone has their own tastes, but I know this is a bloody good lasagne.
‘All That You Fear Is Gone’ is the follow-up to 2012’s debut album I Am Anonymous.
