“Fractal Mirror have made a strong opening statement with a fine combination of upbeat, crafted pop rock songs nicely offset by the darker, melancholic and somber pieces. An album to return to often…” The Progressive Aspect (TPA)
Strange Attractors has received critical acclaim in US and European progressive magazine reviews, including Best Debut of a Band 2013 in Progarchy, the music blog.
The origins of Fractal Mirror can be traced back to the mid-eighties when Leo Koperdraat and Ed van Haagen from The Netherlands started to make music together. In 2013 they posted some music online looking for feedback, and met their drummer Frank Urbaniak via the Big Big Train Facebook site. They began exchanging music files with positive results, leading to the decision to move forward as Fractal Mirror.
The album was mixed and mastered by Rhys Marsh of Autumnsongs in Norway and the band are well into the recording of their second CD to be released later in 2014.
