Nick Magnus readies new solo album
Nick Magnus is set to release his fifth solo album in April 2014, the follow up to the well received Children Of Another God (2010). The new album, n’monix, will be distributed through Esoteric Antenna and features guest vocalists Tony Patterson, Tim Bowness, Kate Faber, Pete Hicks, Andy Neve and James Reeves. Steve Hackett returns once more and performs on three tracks, Eminent Victorians, Shadowland and Broken (which also includes fellow Hacketteer, Rob Townsend on soprano saxophone and flute).
Nick, who began his career with The Enid, is perhaps better known for his touring and recording work with Steve Hackett (appearing on six studio albums). He has also recorded with Renaissance & Claire Hamill, sessioned for China Crisis, George Martin, Brian May, Pete Bardens (Camel), Chris Rea, Colin Blunstone and has performed live with countless artists, including John Hackett, releasing the excellent Live 2010 album in 2011.
