Sad to report that multi-instrumentalist Lindsay Cooper passed away peacefully this week having contracted pneumonia some six weeks earlier. She was 62. Lindsay had long battled with MS, however it was only in the late 90s that the illness prevented her from performing in a live environment. Although Lindsay Cooper will perhaps be remembered in progressive circles for her work with Henry Cow, she also appeared on numerous recordings including: Hatfield and the North, Mike Oldfield, Anthony Phillips, Egg, Steve Hillage, Art Bears, Fred Frith, News From Babel, Comus ~ and so the list continues.
